Extraction of IRAS Low Resolution Spectra

Please enter the IRAS source name that you want to search for LRS spectra, and select the format in which you wish to receive the data: the values as raw text (with or without a correction for the SiO band which affects the short wavelength section).

Source name: Output format?

The values returned in the text form are wavelength in microns and lambda*F_lambda in Watts/meter squared.

The "corrected raw text" option changes the LRS data values according to the corrections originally derived by Volk and Cohen (1989; Astronomical Journal, vol. 98, Nov. 1989, p. 1918-1934) and then revised by Cohen et al. (1992; Astronomical Journal, vol. 104, no. 5, p. 2045-2052). The correction values can be found in this file. The columns in that file are wavelength in microns, correction value, and the uncertainty in the correction value.

The "raw text" option returns the LRS Atlas values as originally produced by the IRAS Team.
